Maybe I was away from the computer actually being a mother and wife and I missed out on this, but why isn't Jr racing with Tony? I know they're like best friends off the track and I just thought it was odd he isn't one of the drivers. Plus with so many Jr fans I just thought that would draw in more money for the cause.

Any one have the scoop on this?

I found this...... Dirt in the Nextel Prelude to the Dream Presented by Old Spice HBO Pay-Per-View .... Dale Earnhardt Jr. criticized it, and then other drivers piled on. ...

Nextel Prelude to the Dream
While they won’t be behind the wheels, Earnhardt, Jr. and Biffle will also be making their first appearances at the track and will be fully immersed in the festivities.

That is all I can find, when I click on the links from the browser, only thing I see in more JR news on what he may and may not be doing on his move to another team.

Sorry no better info from me..../sigh

The one time I heard mention about him not being in the event had to do with sponsorship commitment.
This could be anything from a sponsor autograph session to a do not race extra events clause.

I haven't seen anything on it. I did see an interview with Jimmie Johnson and Tony Steward where Jimmie explained that he had scheduling conflict this year and felt really badly about it.

May have something to do with his contract. Last time he was in a non nextel cup/busch car was when he had that really bad fiery wreck. There may be something in his contract that doesn't allow him to run other events now, i'm not sure though.

I thought he WAS; but I know Budweiser has very specific restrictions to his racing outside of the Cup series.

I didn't even realize he wasn't until you posted that. You know that he would be a big draw to a event like that ! Maybe it's scheduling conflicts.

lol i reported him again just for fun...

I'm not sure why he isn't doing it. It sounded kinda weird to me, maybe Theresa was having another b*tch fit and wont let him... who knows... lol. I know i would be more likely to pay 25 bucks just to watch it if he was in it. I love him.
