No it is not. Puerto Ricans DO NOT pay Federal income tax unless the live IN the US (Puerto Rico does not count for those purposes). Citizens of ANY country would be subject to Federal income tax if they were living in the US. The ONLY US taxes they pay are Social Security and Medicare taxes. They DO receive benefits under both programs. In addition, they have voted 5 times NOT to apply for statehood. Until they do, their lack of representation id their choice. Should they apply and be rejected, they would have an argument on the grounds of lack of representation.

No. The Puerto Ricans have had and could proceed to have the prospect to get excitement from finished representation. They vote to no longer be a state each time they have the prospect to, so as that they pick the consequence themselves.

Hardly. The Puerto Ricans get back more in welfare dollars than they pay in taxes

Yes. And they are welcome to get mad about it and leave. They can quit being a territory of the US and receiving our protection and money whenever they want. Oh they want to stay? Ok, then they need to pay some taxes for the money we spend supporting them. Bring on the thumbs down people, I still think I am right.
