How about some friut juices with no added sugar, veggies and fruits, whole wheat bread, whole wheat pasta (you can find multiple things in a version of whole wheat or whole grain). Vitamins can also contribute to a healthier lifestyle. I am, also, trying to get healthier. I had fruit and a nature valley bar or clif bar for breakfast, one piece of whole wheat pizza and a big salad for lunch, and am having a turkey roast, smashed turnips and potatoes (mixed together), and peas for dinner. Yummm... Everything, when you eat healthy, is taken in moderation also... You just have to limit the foods you eat and try portion control and eat the more healthy foods instead of the not so healthy ones. Also, if you are a "chip-fanatic" like me, try some baked chips, like lays, cheetos, or doritos. They taste great. Good luck :)

You say PICKY like its something to be proud of and praised. It really only limits you (and makes you a boring date)
There are so many good foods out there that you will never know if you don't try and expand your choices.
I had friends who taught their kids to try new things by holding a "TASTY CLUB" once a week. They would buy something they never tried before and all sample at once. Glasses of water were nearby in case they didn't like it. Half the fun was the chance you migth make faces and say ewwww. But more often than not - they discovered something they really liked and could add to their menu.
So many interesting fruits and veggies are good for you. Fresh pineapple, ripe juicy mangoes, different varieties of plums, colorful berries.
Have you tried edamame beans - they are soy beans that are boiled in the shell, you peel the pod and eat the bean -- they are salty and have a nutty flavor - and high in protien.
fire roasted red peppers are wonderful and sweet and smoky. grilling broccoli with a bit of olive oil makes it surprisingly sweet too. baked beets are sweet and when mixed with some oranges make a great salad. Fresh peas shelled from the pod are NOTHING like those nasty canned things.
All of these things are part of a healthy diet. Be brave and try some new things -- you will never know what you're missing till you try!

thats awesome you want to eat healthier. the food pyramid could show you what things you should eatevery day. if youre not a fan of fruits and veggies, try them in foods you do like. for ex., i put lettuce and tiny onions on my hamburgers. im picky 2 though, i hate tomatoes on my burgrs! foods can also be cooked in different ways, witch chages food tastes. so you could try eating veggies that way.
heres one of my yummy recipes. like i said, you should try eating veggies in different ways. heres one:
*saute'ed zucchini with nutmeg*
youll need: 2tblspns butter, 2med. zucchini cut to 3/8in.thick slices, salt and pepper, nutmeg
heat the butter in a skillet over medium/high heat until foam subsides.add the zuchini and saunte' 10min. stir frequently. sprinkle with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. serve right then.

You just have to keep trying different foods, prepared different ways. For example, canned spinach is absolutely ICK, in my opinion, but I like it as baby leaves in salad, or boiled for just a minute or two, then with a little soy sauce and tuna on top.
Do you like spaghetti sauce? That's basically healthy, and you can hide a lot of stuff in it, like carrots, green peppers, and mushrooms. Just chop it up really fine, and you won't notice it.
Keep a list of the things you like, and when you are stuck, refer back to the list to remember what you want to eat.
Good luck, and keep working at it!

Try grilling or sauteeing your veggie and fruit, to make them taste different. Also, many cereals and soups are healthier, as well as some frozen meals. Im sure you can find things you like, you just have to be open minded.
