About five days ago, suddenly I felt a severe pain in my lower chest. It would start of mild and get increasingly worse (would take about 5 seconds), and then it would reduce again. It sometime happens out of the blue, sometimes when eating or drinking. I went to se a pharmasist yesterday, who said see a Doctor now (I did not bother). Someone said it may just be indigestion, but for 5 days, it seems a long time. Any suggestions

I have heard many people say it's just indigestion and when they are carried into the hospital they find out they were having heart problems. You really need to go to your doctor just like the pharmacist said. This is not something to put off if you want to take care of your Body.

It could be a lot of things, but "pain in the lower chest" isn't terribly specific. If I were you, I'd go see a doctor to find out what's going on. If it's your heart (which it could be), the longer you wait, the lower your chances of survival are. I happen to know lots of nurses and a few doctors because my sister is a nurse; there not a single one of them who wouldn't prefer to see you come in unnecessarily to an office or Emergency Room than to wind up in the morgue.

You should see a Doctor immediately. it could be something as simple as indigestion, but a mild heart attack can also feel like indigestion. Severe chest pain is not something you should ignore. See a doctor immediately.

I had the same thing. If it is near your appendix then don't worry it is a form of cramp that happens due to tightness, eating causes your stomach to work and aggravate it. Stretch, eat more fibre to speed up your digestive track, and keep streched. You'll be fine in about a week to 10 days.

It sounds like heartburn. Take Pepcid Complete and avoid spicy foods. If it doesn't get better in two days, go to the doctor.

Go to the ER ! Regardless of age or how you perceive your health to be you are not immune to cardiac problems. It is possible to have "small heart attacks" before having a major one. It can be angina and who knows what else - get moving !

TOMORROW????? Get to an emergency room. Never take a chance on chest pain being something "unimportant" when it is a classic symptom of a heart attack.

Eat slowly, small meals if it does not happen fine. Investigate what is the cause of it.

Reduce spices in your food.

See a doctor and tell him/her, see what is the reason.

Wow. Amazing. What did you go to the pharmacist for? Why are you even here? You aren't going to do what you need to do anyway. So, sit there and suffer.

Or, be BOTHERED to go to the doctor.

Your choice.
