Just your upper left arm? Did it strike the metal railing on the bottom of the bed, or did you land on it? Has your arm swelled or showing a bruise? How bad does it hurt when you flex your fingers? Have you taken any aspirin or Tylenol, soaked or iced the area, and kept your forearm as still as possible? Do you think you may have broken a bone?
If you don't want to go to the ER or Urgent Care, for whatever reason, call and talk to a nurse at one of those places, and do what she suggests. Make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible. And take care.

For now apply an ice pack on your arm for ten minutes at a time, several times a day. Advil soft gel capsules will help with the pain, take them four times daily.
I suggest you make an appointment tomorrow to see a chiropractor. They would be good for treatment and diagnosing by xray and experience. I've enclosed a link where you can find a qualified chiropractor in your area.

Immobilize your arm. Give it a rest & keep it elevated.
Get some ice & put it in ziploc bag; wrap in dishtowel & place on your arm for no longer than 20 minutes, 3 times per day. Eat something & take some Motrin or Aspirin. If not better within 2 days, see your Doctor.

I would definitely go to the Emergency Room; you could very easily have broken your arm.
Good luck!
