According to the Bible, and Jesus-Hell is Dark, as Sulfur burns' with black smoke. It May be cold- But the fire is never quenched.
Think of the most terrible thing that could possibly be felt, and that is what hell is. It is wrenching regret, as you see satan, in whose place you chose to dwell in, as a defeated foe, deserving of our eternal deridement. We will be tortured by the demons who we listened to. There is no hope- which makes' it the hell. The Lord Jesus forgave our sins, and took hell for us. All we need to do is give Him our lives just as they are, and He lives in us to make us new creatures. Why regect this? When He calls, answer. Respond with the faith that He gives us, to believe in the abundant eternal life versus the eternal damnation, prepared for the devil and his angels. Our free will condemned us, and He had to take away the life Adam had started to enjoy and that God had planned, because we didn't want it- we wanted our own knowledge. He made a way to buy us back- take it. Jesus was a perfect man, to bridge the gap, as The Lord required there be no sin to see Him. He took our punishment, coming down as a man, to feel what we feel as He had compassion on us. But when we die, He will forget our name if we resisted Him and spat on the Holy Spirit who drew us. He is not willing that any should perish but that we may have everlasting Life through Jesus Christ, Who shows us God and brings us home.

Hell is the complete separation from God. God has no part of it. It is where a person goes when he dies if he did not accept Jesus Christ as his Savior during his life on Earth. It is a real place, controlled by Satan and his demons. In the Bible it is often called the 'Lake of Fire', and ya know that doesn't sound so great!

"Since the dead have no conscious existence, hell cannot be a fiery place of torment where the wicked suffer after death. What, then, is hell? Examining what happened to Jesus after he died helps to answer that question. The Bible writer Luke recounts: "Neither was [Jesus] forsaken in Hades [hell, King James Version] nor did his flesh see corruption."* (Acts 2:31) Where was the hell to which even Jesus went? The apostle Paul wrote: "I handed on to you . . . that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that he was buried, yes, that he has been raised up the third day according to the Scriptures." (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4) So Jesus was in hell, the grave, but he was not abandoned there, for he was raised up, or resurrected.

Job prayed for protection in hell
Consider also the case of the righteous man Job, who suffered much. Wishing to escape his plight, he pleaded: "Who will grant me this, that thou mayest protect me in hell [Sheol], and hide me till thy wrath pass?"# (Job 14:13, Douay Version) How unreasonable to think that Job desired to go to a fiery-hot place for protection! To Job, "hell" was simply the grave, where his suffering would end. The Bible hell, then, is the common grave of mankind where good people as well as bad ones go."
