I'm 27, but at some working days I'm already dreaming of my retirement. I bet, once I'm retired, I'll be bored like hell.

Usually, you think it will change something and make it better, sometimes it becomes clear that you got this but you needed something else more or it didn't turn out how you expected it too. I have been in this situation so many times and it kinda leaves me paranoid like what is going to happen cause I am not feeling this even though I asked for it. "Be carefull what you wish for".

Attachments to things we incorrectly think will bring us happiness and simply arriving at the logical conclusion that it didn't. It's being "human"... a lot of people think this way. Buddhism tries to help us subdue (not get rid of) this so it's not as much a pain in the rear end.

Because you wanted the wrong thing. If this happens a lot then you are seeking God in material or relationship areas. Seek wisdom first, then knowledge and understanding. All things will follow in from these.

It is because we search for the things we want in the wrong places. Plus, material things cannot satisfy what we really want. The biggest thing we probably want is love. Love cannot truly be filled by humans or by things. We need God, and Jesus Christ to experience love.

I know, that it has happened a few times to me. I wanted something and then when I got it, it turned out to be something I couldn't stand in the end.
