Cremated. Saves space.

You're not going to be buried alive?? I don't think you can choose if you end up being buried alive!! What happens if there is a hurricane and a building collapses around you - you survive, but then the rescue workers don't get to you in time - you'd be buried alive then. Or what if you go skiing and there is an avalanche - again, you'd be buried alive!! Haha!!

Sorry I couldn't resist!! I know what you mean really with regards to be buried alive - you don't wan't to be accidently labelled as dead when you are not - but rest assured in this day age it would not happen. Doctors know the difference between coma and a death.

Cremated. It is just selfish to want to clutter up the earth with cemeteries. I understand there are religions that don't allow cremation, but I do not belong to one of those.

And as to having a headstone for the family to go visit, they will probably feel closer to an urn on a mantle-piece than to a headstone they visit less and less often, and just feel guilty for not visiting.

As to being buried alive, that cannot happen in the modern world; the mortician will make sure of that.

Love that thought, Nutster

"the land should be for the Living, the dead have no need for it."

I can't bear the thought of being eaten by worms and maggots so i'd rather be cremated. Nor do i like the idea of being dug up 5000 years from now and stuck in a display cabinet as an example of a late 20th /early 21st C woman!

Buried, cremation is creepy. I would like to be buried in the countryside somewhere with no coffin, just in the earth. I don't think anyone will be up for that though hahaha

My two school friends and my boyfriend were all buried. I think its nice to have a burial to say goodbye and have somewhere to visit them.

I was going to be cremated until I saw how much carbon that would put out into the atmosphere. Now, I'd prefer to be buried without any chemicals, so that this body can be fertilizer for the soil.

My body will be cremated and the funeral home will dispose of my ashes. They will not be given to my family. It's cheaper, it doesn't take up space, it doesn't give my loved ones a place that they will feel guilty if they don't "visit", it doesn't give anyone the impression that I'm still around. As an atheist, I find a lot of funeral traditions silly, and burial of the corpse is right at the top, along with treating the remains as though there was anything of the person there.

Both seems okay ,if there's enough field for graveyard ,i'll ask to be buried .but I won't wasting any field either ,it was getting smaller in this earth ,so if there's no more field ,I'll asked to be cremated ,I think God will understand too !

Do you mean you would rather be cremated ???
I will be cremated , the thought of rotting in the ground with all those worms appals me, plus there is the remote possibility that you could be alive !!!!
