There seems to be a clique mainly U.S.A, theres only a few from U.K. and I have to say it, I think the brits are much more polite, with there answers, why cant everyone be nice to each other on here.

Satisfaction my dear, my rant has been a long time coming but one of the so called "genealogists", who shall go nameless, was down right nasty in her reply email, and that I can do without. I shall get my answer from a fellow brit without the nasty comments.

If a question is a logical, well thought out question written in the form of a question with a proper subject AND predicate, then even an AMERICAN would answer it politely. However, there are SOME questions on yahoo answers, especially those putting down ANY religion (or the LACK of a religion), or the color of one's skin that tend to sound like the most ignorant people are asking them, and therefore, a polite response is almost IMPOSSIBLE to create. I'm American and usually ALWAYS polite but I cannot STAND it when I see racist remarks on here or remarks that put down one religion or another....that is where my sense of politeness falls short when dealing with people like that. ... and as far as "making a living" out of being on Yahoo Answers, I think SOME of the people are people who worked for 35 years or more and are RETIRED or maybe they just have a little time on their hands--but it's really no ones business but THEIR OWN isn't it????? If people spent less time "BASHING" each other and/or each other's beliefs, this world would be a MUCH better place to live... and.... a more polite world to boot. It's NOT just the fault of people from the USA either....

If you're that upset with someone, why not send the person an email and unload in private. What do you really accomplish by venting your spleen on this page and not letting the person in question know there's a problem? Perhaps there was just a miscommunication and the emotion is all misplaced.

Wow.
GREAT example of your courtesy. Frankly, I don't bother identifying any poster on here according to their nationality... only when the expertise applies to the question.
People ask questions.. the correct answer may not be what people want or expect.
Interesting that this is the first question I have seen, calling another person names.

Genealogy, you will get some dorks out there , I took 4 years to trace mine back to 1700, cost a few pennies in research but worth it, those who are giving you a hard time , cannot be able to do this , most likely illegitimate, that's why they are being bast***Ds.

I'm English and I have to agree with some of what you have said, I wont tell you which bit I agree with though. I have myself in the past been upset by certain "GENEALOGIST'S" who seem to look down their nose's at us "AMATEURS", some don't even bother to reply to private emails, to me that is just pure bad manners. I do hope you don't think me a prima donna. I think it is just a question to stir things up though, I don't see what you will gain by it ... sorry that's just my opinion.
