I'm 23 and go shopping w/ my mom all the time. It's funny (or not) though, b/c when I am out w/ my parents people assume I am 16 or something. It's all good though. Your parents area only on this earth for a limited time. Enjoy it.

However, I see that you feel like they are treating you like a baby. If you are at the grocery store, as if you can go get the bread or something. That way you don't have to walk next to them the whole time, and you are being useful. Say, "Can I go get the catfood/paper towels/toothpaste", these items are usually located in far away aisles, and you can be gone for an extended period of time. Just make sure you don't stay away too long.

Also, you can ask if you can hang out in the toy aisle while they shop. They might let you as long as you are not begging them to buy you stuff. The magazine ailse is good too.

Good luck. Don't be embarassed. Not everyone is staring at you like you think.

How old are you? Maybe THEY feel you're not old enough to be shopping by yourself, besides, if they weren't there, who'd pay?

they are ridiculous, I was a very conservative mom but I let my kids chose for themselves & they never chose any obscene clothes or imapproprate clothing. you must learn for yourself who you are.
