I not sure, but, I think what the sell in stores for cooking; Red Wine Vinegar. If you like Garlic drop a clove of garlic in it or separate a little to see how the garlic taste. If you like homemade salad dressing some recipes call for this or it a sub for the vinegar they do list. I would keep it in the Fridge.

has the bottle been opened? if not, its fine, and if its a red wine, it will actually improve with age (properly stored).

if its been opened, you need to invest in some vacuum seals or just drink it all in one sitting. have a few people over and enjoy a glass of wine with some fine cheese. 2 people can easily consume one standard bottle in one sitting, thats only about 2.5 glasses each.

It's probably safe to consume, but to be certain, just use it in recipes where you cook or boil it. Try it in sauces or soups, or use it as part of a marinade for meats.
