If you're hurt you're hurt so get treatment. But any doctor will tell you to take it easy, choke down some Advil, and in 6-8 weeks you'll be fine.

A ticket, or a lack of one is just one of many factors looked at in an accident, it is not an indicator of who is at fault. Make sure your insurance gets a copy of the police report, and follow their advice. If you have injuries as a result of the accident, and are not at fault (and sometimes even if you are) insurance should handle the bills for that, so seek treatment.

If you were not at fault and sustained injuries, you need to be checked. The other girl's insurance will pay for your medical coverage. You did the right thing by calling your insurance company. You said this happened last night so they when they call you, they will want to know more about the accident and your injuries and they will obtain a copy of the police report. You need to get a copy as well for your records. and keep all receipts if you spend anything that is related to this accident. Your insurance company will help you with this. As far as your car. the other insurance company will have to pay for the damages, if the damage is more than your car is worth, they will total it and you will receive the actual cash value of your vehicle. Now this part I hate to say but if her insurance company wants to jerk you around, get a lawyer and let him deal with them. Do not settle for anything at this point. If you have to get a lawyer, take his advice.

Go to the Doctor now, whiplash happens after the accident, you don't usually know you have it until at least the next day
You don't want to play with neck pain if it's not addressed immediately the reprocussions can be bad, it could become a permanent injury
Once you know for sure what it is then contact a lawyer, the way I understand the US law, you are allowed to sue for injury even if there were no tickets given out.

You did the right thing by contacting your insurance company. Hopefully you got the other person's info. If so, your ins. carrier will mitigate with her carrier.
It doesn't matter who or if anyone get's a ticket. I've had 2 claims where the other person got a ticket and their carrier denied the claim "because they can." Rather than going through my company, I sued them and they had to pay directly out of pocket.
Good luck & speedy recovery.

Sorry to read about your accicdent. I agree that you should go ahead and either go to the ER or to your family doctor. Seeing that it was the other driver's fault, then your insurance 'should' contact her insurance in order for them to pay for any bills...as well as to take care of your car! I wish the best for ya.
