No, that is not true. That so-called "documentary" is full of specious arguments that get a few people in trouble every year.

1. The 16th amendment to the U.S. Constitution which clarified the power of congress to collect an income tax and allowed congress to collect an income tax without apportionment was ratified. Bill Benson is in error in every aspect of his "research". He supposedly spent a year or so researching the ratification of the 16th amendment. It took me all of five minutes to disprove one of his arguments. (He misread the Tennessee Constitution.)

2. Title 26 of the U.S. Code is the actual law that states individuals have to pay income tax. The specific section is TITLE 26, Subtitle A, CHAPTER 1, Subchapter A, PART I, Section 1.

Here is a link to a website that debunks Bill Benson's "research".

So, now you know. :)

The Law of Economic Ignorance is the law that forces one to pay Income Tax

could your tax confusion be due to your Financial Illiteracy?

I recommend a Fiscal Challenge Test!

In 1996 it was reported that better than 85% of the people were Financially Illiterate, with that rising to 95% in the last ten years.

Head on over the links supplied below and read the
Report: Complex Money and Financial Illiteracy

then head over and review
Money as Debt

Once you grasp the concept of the negative-charge economic fiat supply, you will soon learn that what you call Money is actually only Evidence of Debt, said evidence is exchangeable for goods, products, and services. That in and of itself does not make it a taxable event, at least not for income tax!!!

You pay federal taxes simply because you do not know to effectively create a tax-free environment. The Rich that do not pay taxes are fiscally literate and well read individuals.

There are provisions within the IRS code that you may be unaware of or simply did not understand. That is the area known as employment loans.

Something that merits your attention is the concept of using an offshore (Canadian) employment service provider.

The IRS codes have a position known as 'leased employee', wherein your services are supplied to your current employer, thus eliminating any tax liability to the employer.

The situation here is that the leased employee utilizes an employment loan. This literally means that their are no taxes owing.

It is generally conceded that an income is a benefit enjoyed or received. An employment loan is a debt, and debt is not taxable.

Over the last 20 years this practice has developed the use of personal service business to legally avoid all income tax by turning a salary into a loan.

Consequently, by choosing the right Employment Service Provider, there is no incentive for either the personal services business to pay the salary owing to the leased employee or for the leased employee to repay the loan. Both the salary and loan can be left outstanding forever.

Remember the Taxing Authorities rely on the fact that you have not yet discovered that where there is debt there are no taxation powers, at least at the income level.

hope this helps you out

Every year a number of people who believe that the income tax system is not legal receive an all expenses paid vacation to Kansas or some other exotic location. I have noted that a large number of Federal Correctional Officers live in or near those locations so they must be very appealing. Perhaps if you operate under this practice long enough you will win one of those vacations. However the resort does not allow documentaries about tax fraud.

Yes, there is an Income Tax.

The "documentary" was done by Aaron Russo, a director who owes the IRS millions of dollars and doesn't want to pay.

Stop filing and paying and see what happens.

THINGS I DIDN'T KNOW UNTIL I SAW THEM ON THE INTERNET:

Nobody ever really landed on the moon - it was a giant hoax. What you saw on TV was filmed in Utah.

Elvis is still alive, and performing marriage ceremonies in Las Vegas.

It is unconstitutional for the government to tax your wages (income tax), and most of what we think of as income isn't really income anyway.

Excuse me now....I just won 2 million pounds in the online UK lottery when my email was randomly selected, and I have to go answer the email.....
