Have her look into getting an IUD. They are very cost effective, most insurance covers it and if not the cost is cheaper than other forms of birth control. There are very few side effects and absolutely maintenance free. It lasts up to 10 years but can be reversed immediately. I have 3 children but due to the fact that me and my husband are still under 30 and may decide to have kids in the future, I use an IUD and it is the best thing ever. She can Google it to read more about it and also she should discuss it with her GYN. Good luck.

if you work and have good insurance...then there should not be that much of a problem with you getting a vascetomy. your wife on the other hand will have a much harder time getting her tubes tied. if there is no protection of any kind (condoms, IUD, tubal, birth control) then there is a very HIGH chance that she could get pregnant again. besides...it is HER body. if you want to make love to your wife on a regular and frequent basis then you need to find a solution to prevent future pregnancies. she can try getting an IUD if you have good insurance. if your insurance (if you have it) covers vasectomy then all you will need is a co-pay. if one doctor will not perform the neccessary operiatoin...you need to keep looking until you do. some of these doctors exercise power that they never had over our bodies and using 'morals' as an excuse for not performing certain procedures that they spent over $100,000 going to medical school to get. seriously...i just wish that more people would adopt your wife's strategy...no birth control = no sex. i also wanted to add that you could try going to your local adulty novelty store or find them on the web. there are TONS of items out there to satisfy the 'need' for both sexes. at least this is an option until you get what you need so you can have sex with your wife again. but please don't be afraid to try...you may like it.

She needs to be out working to help with the income. Then maybe she could afford the shots, birthcontrol pills or whatever. At the age of 22, you would think she wouldn't want any more children and might come up with a solution on her own. Children are very expensive to raise, so you might consider the cost of another child vs a vesectomy.

You two should check into either Planned Parenthood or a county health clinic. Both usually have pro-rated payment plans based on income.
