I often use a mirror or a bowl of water. Meditate for a few minutes to calm yourself and get connected with your spiritual self. Then I do as follows:
MIRROR:
lay (commonly silver) mirror on a flat surface, and sit near it, but be sure not to have your reflection in it. It's best if it is reflecting a blank ceiling or the sky. Look into it and focus your energy on the time you want to see. Don't get distracted by ANYTHING! Images should form in the reflection, showing you what you are trying to focus on.
WATER:
(Same as above, but with a bowl of water.)

It's looking into a black mirror. A few scientists have duplicated the effect. One built a special building for the purpose. Unfortunately, I don't recall the names at the moment.
The idea is to use the reflective surface to stare (scry) into infinity. Don't LOOK, and you will SEE. The magic is not in the mirror, but in the mind.

It does not work , I have a daughter-in-law who fancies herself a witch.she paid 400.00 for a scrying mirror, that did nothing ,same as her potions or spells.
