I was just wondering if you would be ashamed if your mom drove a Camaro.. some of you may not know what it is, but basically do you prefer your mom drive a suv or van.

my daughter tells me to get another car but what I have seems fine to me.

Aas long as the car gets you from point A to point B. All of my dads cars have all been from the 80s or 90s, even up until recently. He drove an old 91..We're lucky now, we got a good deal for 7000 dollars on a 2003 grand prix..It gets us from point A to B, and it looks pretty good! She should be happy that her mom (you) has a car to drive around.

Camaro's are cool cars. Don't be ashamed for driving one. I am sorry but your daughter is wrong. Just don't drive crazy to impress anyone, which I am sure you do not do, because that may be embarrassing.

I'm 33, but I remember that about 13 years ago, when I was 20, my mom bought a Ford Probe. I don't know if you remember them, but they were very sporty-looking. (BTW, she still has it and it's in excellent condition.:)) I thought it was kind of uncharacteristic of her to drive a sportscar, but it made her happy. Go ahead and drive what you want to! Just because you're a mom doesn't mean you can't drive a cool car!:)

depends on the year and the paint job. anything in the 80's model would be embarrassing to a teenager I know I was when my hubby drove his. I hated riding in it. Now if it's a classic late 60's model they need better taste and just deal with it.

Rich teenagers? Teenagers that aren't worried about depreciation? Just a guess.

I dont know why kids are so worried about what they are getting driven in. A car is a car, its supposed to get you from point a to point b. I think you should stand your ground and explain to your daughter that there is more to life than what kind of car people are driving.

Well you are the adult here. Dont let your children run your life. If its what you want to drive, then drive it. There should not be a "status quo" on what a person drives. Frankly I dont care what my mom drives. Be the boss of your life.
