ah, the age-old question. i don't even really know for sure, but i guess it's because guys find flirting fun and they're always looking to line up their next conquest. kinda sucks, but it's human nature. good luck with your guy though, i hope he comes around :}

I'm sorry to say this, but it sounds like this guy is just an egomaniac and he flirts with various women in order to massage his own ego. Unfortunately, there are a lot of guys who are like that.
