You can call animal control to take care of the body. If you want to keep her ashes, call a vet and they can cremate the body for you. Depending on where you live, it may be illegal to bury her in your yard. My condolences for your loss.

If you live in the country, you could bury her. A lot of cities have ordinances about burying dogs in your yard though so you may want to go with cremation in that case. If you bury her, just make sure you're not digging where there's any buried lines. If it's a big dog, you may need help or someone with a backhoe to dig the hole. Sorry about your dog.

OMG I am so sorry!!! Poor thing, I hope you are doing all right.

Usually I just bury them myself so i can put them somewhere I want, but i think if you call the Humane Society or a vet they could either send someone or tell you who to call.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.
The vet should be able to take care of her remains for a fee. If you want the ashes then you will have to let the vet know.
Again I am so sorry. I know how tough it is to lose a pet.

Humane Services or your county Animal Control department...and may i say i'm so sorry for your loss! My dog was hit by a car too, but she survived. I still have nightmares about that day. Good luck!

I believe animal regulation or the local sanitation can be called to dispose of an animal. Your local vet can as well. Most charge a fee for disposal.

I suggest you dig a hole and bury her.

It's possible, if you aren't able to bury her, that you can contact your vetrinarian. Usually they know who to contact about getting a dog burned. You could pick out a nice vase with a top in your favorite color (or her collar color) and paint or have her name inscribed on it-maybe even have a small picture of her put on it.

I'm very sorry she got hit. =(
