When the baby is born they will do a paternity test for free IF the mother will consent to it. That would save alot of legal wrangling on both ends, however if she refuses you will have to get a lawyer and sue to force a test to establish paternity. After paternity is established you will then have the right to sue for partial custody or whatever terms it is you are looking for or if you want your rights as father terminated you can do that as well. After you as established as the father you have many legal rights an options, but before paternity is established basically you have no rights at all. Either way, it can be a rough legal process. Hopefully for you and for the baby, the mother will agree to the paternity test in the hospital and avoid all the lawyers. Good luck. It sounds like you are trying to do the right thing!

First you need a lawyer and take the mother to court where a judge will issue a paternity test. this will be done most likey at the health dept. then they will swab your mouth and the baby's sometimes the mothers also. the samples are sent back to the lab where they will determine through the dna samples if the child is yours. The results will read something like is 99.999% accurate you fathered the child or 0.999% you are not the father. Remember unless you are sure the child is yours, dont sign the birth certificate. She can always sue you for child support if you do. If you dont and she tries she will have to prove you are the father and thus end up in court w/paternity test. Good Luck.

You can request Paternity testing through your state's Domestic Relations office. They give you a coupon for a free DNA test (usually if done in the 2 weeks after the request is filed...after that time it will cost some money)
There's a time frame window where an amniocentesis could be performed (not sure how many weeks) where they would remove dna....but this is a Risky procedure to both mother and child. I would wait til the baby is born and contact domestic relations.
This is from human services regarding Pennsylvania. Google Domestic relation and your state. Once paternity is established go from there:

If the mother is unmarried, she and the father may sign an Acknowledgment of Paternity form. At the time of birth, the hospital staff will give the unmarried mother and birth father an Acknowledgment of Paternity form to complete.
After leaving the hospital, if both parties wish to file an Acknowledgment of Paternity, the form can be obtained at County Assistance Offices (CAOs), DRSs, or by contacting the Department of Public Welfare, Bureau of Child Support Enforcement, Paternity Coordinator, at 1-800-932-0211, option number 4. Someone at all of these places can help you complete the form.

Doesn't matter. You have no choice. Go get a paternity test. If the baby is yours, but she refuses to let you be the father, then go to court. You can even sue her, but if you do go to court, make sure you have proof that the baby that she is carrying is yours.

You have a hard thing to do remember Larry Burkhead. If she doesn't put your name on the birth certificate you will have a fight on your hands. If I were you I would make nice with her to make sure she puts your name on the certificate. Then it will be easier to get a paternity test.

If she confess to you that she cheated on you, then get a paternity test.
