i live where it gets hot i have a rottwilder she has a dog house and there is alot of shade. my question is i bought a a water jug like constuction worker use if i put a bowel of water in the frezzer at night then in the morring when i fill up her water put the ice block in her water to keep it cold would it be okay for her to drink cold water?

yes that would be fine I just put ice cubes in my dogs water and I have never had any problems. Depending on how hot it gets you may want to do it more than once a day though.
Also get a large kiddie pool so she can lay in it only fill it up about two inches. Most Rotties enjoy a dip.

It should be fine although a lot of times excessively cold water will make a warm dog vomit. If your water in the bowl stays relatively cool, that should be enough. You can also try those self filling water bowls that attach to the faucet if you think she needs a continuous flow of water.

Yeah sure it is. Dogs love cold water. What I do to my dog sometimes when its really hot I give him an ice cube and he likes to suck on it! Thats another tip from me

Yes it would be ok, but getting a cheap kiddie pool would be great, I live in the heat and the dogs luv it. I toss a couple of ice cubes in and they chase them around in the water.

dogs love cold water & it won't hurt her. Just make sure she has plenty of water to last until the ice melts

Depending on the season. Summer=yes, winter=no way!

YHEA WHY NOT? YOU KNOW THEY MAKE CONTAINERS FOR DOGS WHERE IT IS LIKE A BIG POLAND SPRING CONATINER AND YOU FILL IT UP AND EVERYTIME THE BOWL GOES DRY THE CONTAINER LETS OUT ENOUGH WATER FOR IT TO FILL THE BOWL!?
