At what age are guinea pigs not able to breed anymore mines 2.5 years old. I heard they cant have babies after 9 months. Please be sure of your answer.

The pelvic bones fuse together after the 8 month mark. Having a pregnant guinea pig anytime after that would be extremely dangerous and probably unlikely to go successful. It's dangerous to breed guinea pigs at any age because of the stress of pregnancy

If you want to breed a female, she must have her first litter by the time she is 6 months old, otherwise her pubic bones fuse and she can't pass the babies. As long as she's had one litter before 6 months, then she can be bred any time after that. I probably wouldn't breed any guinea pig over 3 years. They are not difficult to breed, but stillborn babies are common.

Has the female had a litter before? If not then she is too old. The pelvic bones fuse if she hasn't had a litter before she is one year old so the babies won't be able to come out.
If she has had a litter before she is ok to have another if her last litter was less than 6 months ago. If she had one before that then she will not be fit enough to have another.
Don't breed if you don't have good reason to.

Your pig's hips fused together long ago, hun. Don't breed her or you'll flat out kill her (85% mortality rate when a c-section is needed). However, if you've got your heart set on breeding, do as much research as you can about the species, the breeds, etc and get yourself a young female, another cage, and a male. Let the younger female breed and your older female will assume the role of Auntie Pig.

Your little pig is too old to breed already do not do this her hips are too small as they get older, six months is usually the best time to breed, but if you are considering doing that do your homework

It is a very dangerous thing to do, breeding guinea pigs. Too many complications are a possibility. Why take the chance?There are way tooo many poor little guys in shelters and rescues all over the world. Please don't consider breeding them.
