Personal favorites in Times Square - always a hoot to talk with the Naked Cowboy. Have a slice of the best cheesecake in the city at Roxy's, watch MTV Live - people watch!
On Fifth - try the the Apple Store, St. Pat's, Trump Tower, Niketown. Just in Rockefeller center - Top of the Rock gives an entirely different view of the city than the Empire State - great views of Central Park!

Famous shopping on 5th Ave ... Lord & Taylor, Saks, also the Disney Store, Trump Towers to name a few. See link below -- you can also get a tour of 5th Ave. When you visit Times Square, be sure you see it at night... the lights are unbelivable!!!
I would strongly recommend going to Top of the Rock right off 5th Ave to get a great view of the entire island of Manhattan as well as the Statue of Liberty, Long Island and Jersey...all from the Roof !!! Check out the websites below!! Have Fun!

In Times Square, there's so much to see that I can't recommend any one place.
As for 5th Avenue, go into Trump Tower, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Versace, St Patricks.....Again there is a lot of stores so walk slow.

Well in Times Square there's the Toy Store Toys R' Us. they have a ferris wheel, a Barbie mansion and Candyland. Get tickets for a show at Radio City Music Hall. FAO Schwartz (yes another toy store) has unique toys unlike other toy stores. And go to Rockefeller Center. The Hard Rock Cafe is fun too! Have fun!

Visit the Central Park Zoo, it's right off of Fifth Avenue at 60th Street. The zoo is small compared to the Bronx Zoo, yet there are always interesting creatures to see there, and not all are caged.

Shopping would be my first choice and site seeing Manhattan second.
But my third choice would be to go the the WTC site to pay my respects and have a few moments of silence. I'd light a small tea light candle there and write a note, card, or small letter, and know inside I'm contributing my thoughts to the "Freedom of America".
Don't forget to do this okay? Thanks.
