He could be "ready" now, but you should wait until he is atleast 2 years old. That way you an make sure you have his hip checked. Rotties are known for having problems with hip issues. I am sure you wouldn't want to breed him knowing he would past that genetic flaw on.

What kind of training do you have to breed animals?

Guess what - there are already too many unwanted pets sitting in shelters waiting to die because of irresponsible "breeders".

You obviously don't know when to "mate" your dog - just seeing those $$$ huh?

Friend of mine refused to get his black lab castrated because he thought it would be "cool" to breed him and it wouldn't be very "manly" to have a castrated dog. His dog developed and died of prostate cancer before the age of 5 years.

Castrate your dog.

They should not be bred until tehy are 2 years old and you need to have it tested fo genteic problems such as hip dispaysia, and other problems.

hav it teste and let it mate at around 2 and 1/2years old

he is probly able to mate and if he isnt he should soon you should take him to the vet to make sure
