Its amazing to me the amount of ugly responses I get from so called christians. Everything from, get a life to you will burn in hell. I havent attacked anyone, but any simple question provides the opportunity for people to jump all over me. Why so angry christians? I am happy to live without god, jesus, mary or any other religous figure in my life. And I am a real happy guy. Why does that anger so many of you? I would ask for people to reply rationally, but I am sure another Godly beatdown is forthcoming.

It does seem a bit odd. Like I've often said, Christians should be thankful for gays, Jews, atheists, etc because without them who would they blame the "moral decay of society" on? Other Christians, I guess and we all know how that works out.

Ugly responses are natural, this is the world.
Burning in hell is not comprehensible within the human intellect.
Asking a difficult question, may be the order of the day.
There are angry people within all the religions, not just the Christian tradition. And I am not in the business of siding with any particular faith.
Happy is a tough word to define. Contentment is much easier to define.
Life is impossible without some kind of faith.
It should be noted that what ever one harbors within them,
will also be manifested on the outside of them.

I hope this has been rational.

I am a Christian. I would agree with you but also point out that this is a human problem not a Christian problem. I have seen the same treatment of Christians by atheists. Things like "sky daddy," "book of fairy tales," and so on are at best cynical. As far as I am concerned you can believe or not believe whatever you like. I just don't understand why people who purport to not believe in a God feel the need to come on a religion and spirituality board to pick fights with believers. That seems a little self serving and condescending to me. If you are truly secure in your life, then why try to create chaos in other's minds?

Jesus doesn't know any judgemental angry Christians...
If He doesn't recognize them, why should you?

EDIT:
I have to wonder, though...If you are such a happy guy, why are you even worried about what anyone else, Christian or not, thinks of you?
I'm a happy Christian, and your opinion of me doesn't worry me in the least.
God bless you!!

These are people who believe that other people are going to suffer unimaginable torment after death, and they're ok with that. Note that I didn't say "tell", I said "believe". They don't have to threaten anyone with Hell, they believe that other people are going there, and that's enough to make me completely lose respect for them. Don't believe the hype...religious faith does not make someone a better person...quite the opposite, in many cases. Religion's basic tenet - that some will be saved and others doomed - is divisive and obnoxious to begin with, and since belief informs action, it should come as no surprise that the religious can be that way. They're judgemental because that what religion teaches a person to be, it is judgemental by nature. They're angry because they are delusional, and they can't convince other people to accept their claims as "truth" (because they aren't "truth").

I'm SO glad I'm not a Christian.

Angry Judgemental ______
Keep going. Bashing others is the way to make yourself look cool. Let people who want to act stupid be stupid; who cares about them? But you shouldn't be grouping all Christians together like that; this can be said about anyone but never a whole.

They are acting immature. But not all Christians are like that. I don't tell anyone they're going to burn in hell, or get a life or anything like that.

I will tell you first of all that I am a christian. I want you to know something, I love you brother. That's right, I love you, and God loves you to, but He hates your sin, so do I. I hate that sin so much because it's dragging you down my friend, it will drag you to hell if you don't turn from that sin. It's not you that I am upset with, I care for you and your eternal soul, I don't want you to go to hell, ever. That is the worst thing that could happen to anyone, yet it happens everyday, people die without propitiation for their sin. You know you don't have to go to hell, no one does, except those who have already died in their sin. Do you know how to get out of hell? God sent his son Jesus Christ 2000 years ago to die on our behalf to pay our debt we could not pay. It's like this, one day we will ALL stand before the righteous and holy God, and He will judge us according to our works, but there's a catch, see the bible says that there is none holy, no not one, and we can't see God ever in our sinful state, so we are all destined to hell, UNLESS we accept the payment for our sins which is Christ's sacrifice, there's more to it than that though, you see for us to follow Christ, we must keep His commandments and the commandments are laid out in the Bible, not just the 10 commandments but the entire Bible. I don't want to sound pushy or judgemental but I have to be discerning and that means judging what I hear and see, there is not a commandment against judging others actions, only their hearts, see I have to judge what I see from others or I couldn't very well respond to anything anyone does ever. If you were waving a gun in my face (as a joke) and it's truly not in your heart that you are going to kill me, I can't know that, but I can know that there is a gun in my face and that I could be dead in a flash and that you could be a killer, see I'm not judging your heart, just what I see coming out of you. I pray that God will move the Holy Spirit into your life and that your eyes will be opened to the truth of who God is. The bible says that the cross will sound foolish to those who do not believe, you are intentionally blinded to the truth until you believe, which means, and I reiterate, that you must repent (turn away from sin) and accept the payment for your crimes against the law of God (sin), and give all praise and worship to the God who made you and sent His son Jesus Christ for you and longs for all men to come back into fellowship with Him, "It is not the will of God that all men should perish". Study what the Bible says, not some kook claiming to be a christian who only shows hatred and anger toward you, they don't know the Word, and the Word is God and He gave us His Word in written form, the Bible. I want to be in Heaven hanging out with you someday, will I see you there?

Imagine it like this,
Hell = Default destination for every human or Prison
Judgement Day = Courtroom of Eternity
God = Holy and Righteous Judge (not me or any other human)
Bible = God's Law
Sin = Crime against God's Law (something which cannot go unpunished)
Death = Fine for crimes committed
Christ Jesus = Payor of fine for crimes committed
Christ's Death = Payment of fine for crimes committed
Lake of Fire = Second Death or the eternal commencement of the death penalty
Heaven = Reward for Believer's who have had their fines paid and crimes stricken from record.
Humans = Criminals (every one of them, me included)
