I would give it to Ali as he would be too fast for Johnson.

I'd pick Ali to win by KO. Jack Johnson never fought anyone that had the ability to throw punches on the move like Ali.
If Johnson forced Ali to the ropes Ali would us the "rope a dope" just like he did against George Foreman. Either way, Ali wins by KO.

Ok then we will make it a 25 round fight and no going to a neutral corner after a knockdown as it was during Johnsons career. I believe that Johnson wins a very close fight against Ali as he has more endurance at the end of 15 rounds with Ali barely able to stand at the final bell. Just having a little fun with this one.

The blogbaba has struggled with this one for decades, and I got to tell you it would be a tough night for Ali. Jack Johnson had all the tools to give Ali trouble, and then some. Johnson was quite possibly the best boxer in heavyweight history besides Ali and far superior to people like Norton, Frazier and Spinks, all fighters who beat Ali. If there is a fighter in history who could match up better against Muhammed Ali, the blogbaba doesn't know of one.
I got to believe Jack Johnson would have also beat Liston and Forman, his boxing skills were easily the best in history untill Ali, and Jack had no real weaknesses in his prime. In Ali's prime, he still was vulnarable and could be hit and Johnson would have done a great deal of damage to Ali regardless of the outcome.
As suprising as it may be considering I am a huge Muhammed Ali fan, I gotta go with Jack Johnson, I don't think Ali would have been able to handle the mix of raw power and technical boxing skill that Johnson brough into the ring. Ali's chin may not have kept him on his feet odds are Johnson would have knocked Ali down, but in his prime Ali wouldn't have stayed down, he would have got up and finished on his feet.
Jack Johnson would shake up the world and win the decision.

Jack Johnson was the MAN. He got headbutted about 40-50 times during all of his fight and the ref would do nothing, and he would still win. Ali wouldn't have to head butt him though he would just be way tooo quick and win in 5-6.

Few people on this board have ever seen Muhammed Ali, much less Jack Johnson. Who could judge, the 110 great-grandmother in Cleveland?
