for 4.0 liter six [2.5 liter 4cyl is similer] drain coolant from drain **** on right side of radiator at bottom [pull inner fender shield flap back for access]
remove 2 screws[5/16 wrench] from top of aux fan shroud and disconnect fan wires ,remove top hose from radiator and remove fan assembely.
loosen 4 bolts on water pump pully [1/2 wrench
now loosenpower steering pump bolts [one top pivot,one bottom adj and two slide bolts[back side of pump bracket, now loosen the adjuster tension boltat bottom left side of pump and remove the drive belt noting the routing [draw a picture if you have to] now remove top idler pulley[15mm wrench] and heater return hose and bottom radiator hose from the water pump
remove the water pump pully [prevously loosened] now remove the two power steering bracket bolts[15mm wrench] and 4 water pump bolts[1/2 whench noting that the top left bolt is longer[left is drivers side not how you are actually veiwing the engine]
now twist and finaggle the pump out [most models it will come right out, some you will have to loosen and possibly remove the bolts on p/s pump to move the offending pump bracket out of the way .
scrape away the old gasket completely from block serface. remove and transfer heater pipe to new pump orenting in in the identicle direction
test fit new gasket to new pump [ it can go on only one way and fit properly] now sparingly use 3m weather strip adheasive[yellow gorilla snot] to glue new gasket to new pump and let set a few minuites for glue to tack up
install is the reverse of removal finger tighten waterpump pully bolts first and give them a final tighten after the drive belt is back on and tightened [fill cooling system slowley with heater hose off of thermostat housing to let trapped air out, when a solid stream of coolant is ejected here the block and head are full put the hose on and continue filling [system holds right on 2 gallons+or- good luck

Buy a Haynes repair manual for your Jeep, it will tell what to remove and where the bolts are located . It's a good idea to have one anyway if your vehicle is not new.

well what motor you have depends alot on this question do yourself a favor and go buy a 25 buck manual for the car
