She is being a sore loser.
In poker it is a requirement of the rules that you play to win. If you soft play against a friend you are actually breaking the rules of the game. In any kind of real tournament you can be disqualified for soft playing against a friend.

Are you kidding me? You did absolutely nothing wrong here. How did your friend expect you to win the tournament when you had to fold every hand she was in. When you go into a tournament you know there is a big possibility that you are going to lose, she has to learnt to deal with that. In the Tournament of Champions, it was down to the final 3;Annie Duke, Howard Lederer and Phil Hellmuth. Duke and Lederer (who are brother and sister) had been battling all day and it ended up that Duke knocked Lederer out (on a bad beat.) Do you think Lederer gave Duke grief about it, I highly doubt it. That's poker. Keep up the good work and don't let anyone influence you playing winning poker.

No i would not feel bad at all. You should never soft-play anyone. It is not fair to the rest of the players that you play hard against them, but not your friend, that just is not right. Now maybe she felt your hand was to weak to be in the pot, and you may have sucked out or something like that, and that why she is so upset at your call. But you have every right to play in a pot that she does as well, you did the right thing by not soft-playing her, tell her that if she does not want to get busted next time, that she should stay out of your pot in the first place. good luck.

She's just being a sore loser, and probably got embarassed as well. You did nothing wrong, don't sweat it, trust me she'll get over it- there are bigger things in life to worry about. Just tell her you were just playing the game and didnt mean for her to take anything personal.
good luck

Your friend shouldn't be playing poker. She is not cut out for it.

If she had won would she feel the same way as she wanted you to feel? Poor losers don't want to admit they lost gracefully.
