Patron is good. I like Sauza Commemorativo. There is a huge difference between cheap tequila and good stuff.
(I was a bartender.) Cuervo is low quality.

Cabo Wabo is crap actually. I have even had it at the original Cabo Wabo cantina in Cabo San Lucas. And it is just way to harsh. I love Herradura's El Jimador & Tres Generaciones the best.

Cuervo is OK...1800 or their Anjeo.

Look for 100% Agave. Anything less is water down tequila.

Cabo Wabo is and excellent tequila! I like blue cabo. It's actually smoother than their Anjo or Brown bottle. The best of course is "Reserva De La Familia" from Jose Cuervo. Dark color like whiskey, sweet smelling like cognac, drink it in a snifter and enjoy!

For making homemade margaritas, I use either Tres Generations, or Patron Silver - the smoothest tequilas are 100% blue agave.

And they make the best margaritas!!

Honestly, anything made with 100% agave is a good call.

If it doesn't say "100% agave" on it, it's likely 51% agave (legal minimum to be called tequila) with the rest being grain alcohol.

try patron-- it costs more but it's worth it

you can get a tiny bottle to try it out
to me, it has less taste/smell than vodka too
vodka just smells like rubbing alcohol

I love Jose, but when I can afford it, I get Patron--it is great!
