here is a good recipe i've been using for over 15 years.
2 cups warm water
2 tablespoon sugar or honey
1 tablespoon or packet active dry yeast (check the date)
2 tablespoons oil
1 tablespoon salt
3 cups King Arthur unbleached all purpose flour
3 cups King Arthur Stone ground whole wheat flour
Pour water into a large mixing bowl and dissolve yeast and sugar in it. Add salt and oil, and both flours in that order. Stir, and turn onto a floured surface.
Dough will be sticky, add flour on hands and surface. knead for 10 minutes. Add enough flour to keep from sticking. Place in bowl with little oil to rise until doubled.
Roll out dough and add favorite sauce ingredients.

Here is my recipe for pizza dough and it can be used for many other things including breadsticks. (leave out the garlic powder and add extra sugar and you can use it for cinnamon rolls too).
Ingredients:
4 1/2 -5 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 packages dry quick rise yeast
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups 2% milk
2 Tablespoons corn or vegetable oil
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
How to:
In a microwave safe bowl, combine milk, sugar and oil. Stir well and microwave 30 seconds. Stir and check temperature. Continue to microwave in 15 second intervals until liquids feel warm to your pinky but not hot. You can use a yeast thermometer if you need to. Combine only 4 1/2 cups of the flour, garlic powder and yeast in a large bowl and add warmed milk mixture. Mix with wooden spoon till combined and turn out onto floured surface. Work in enough flour to form a ball that is not sticky but still soft. Knead for several minutes until dough is smooth and soft. In a clean large bowl, add 2 Tablespoons of oil and turn dough ball in it once. Cover with plastic wrap and a towel. Let rise for 1 hour or until doubled. Divide in half and make your pizza. This recipe makes enough dough to cover a large pizza stone + make 8 large breadsticks.
Hope you try this one and enjoy!

Here's a recipe that I like.
Pizza dough
1 teaspoon sugar
1 package dry yeast (about 2 1/4 teaspoons)
1 1/4 cups warm water (100* to 110*)
3 cups all-purpose flour, divided
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
Cooking spray
1. Dissolve sugar and yeast in warm water in a large bowl;let stand 5 minutes. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups, andlevel with a knife. Add 2 3/4 cups flour, oil, and salt to yeast mixture.;stir until blended. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Knead until smooth and elastic (about 10 minutes) ;add enough of the remaining flour, 1 tablespoon at a time, to prevent dough from sticking to hands (dough will feel tacky).
2. Place the dough in a large bowl coated with cooking spray, turning to coat top. Cover and let rise in a warm place (85*), free from drafts, 1 hour or until doubled in size. (Press two fingers into the dough. If indentation remains, the dough has risen ehough.) Punch dough down;cover and let rest for 5 minutes. Divide dough in half.
Yield:2 (12-inch) crusts.
For the rest of the pizza, just spread tomatoe sauce on it and sprinkle cheese on top and, if you'd like, top it with...well, just about anything! Veggies, meat, whatever you like! I like garlic on mine. I also like to sprinkle the crust around the edge with sesame seeds. I really hope you like it because I just hand typed that whole thing!!! LOL ^_^ ~~Lauren*

Oh..my mother certainly know this ... it isn't difficult...but I can't explain recipes in English.
From Italy...If you understand italian you can find on google Italia
I wouldn't use peppers , sugar and EXPECIALLY garlic on pizza. I know you use simplu tomato sauce, olives, basil, olive oil, and mozzarella.
Don't ruin home-made pizza with a lot of things on it. The most important thing is the dough
for dough
Ingredienti:
acqua tiepida (lukewarm water)
confezione di lievito (yeast 1 cube)
farina (flour 00)
1 cucchiaino(teaspoon) di sale (salt)
1 pizzico di zucchero (little pinch of sugar)
