It's not unheard of for siblings to show up on each others reports.

The CRA's (being as inaccurate as they are) probably just placed your brothers on yours simply because of things that are similar between the two of you - last names (now or at one time), SSN's that may be close, once had lived at the same place, etc., etc., etc.

Send disputes to the CRA's asking them to delete the accounts. List out the accounts that are your brothers and explain that they belong to him and not you. Send a copy of your drivers license and a copy of a utility bill that is in your name.

I can only assume that you decided to add an additional user (Brother) for your credit card account or vice versa. In order to do this, they had to add your brother because they had to put his name on the card.

You guys were the ones who manage to do this. Its not the banks fault. In order to fix this, I suggest you canceled the cards who are not used by the primary account holder.

That or perhaps he used your ssn and stole your identity.

Neglecting charges won't help your credit status. in case you could not pay your charges, see a credit Counsellor. Worst case state of affairs see a financial disaster Trustee. It takes 7 years to start regaining your credit status going this course. then you definately can initiate paying out issues like pupil loans. pupil loans in Canada are actually not forgiven in bankruptcies. you will pay them or go through the effect of by no capacity having sturdy credit. those you will pay! Equifax is an remarkable source to verify techniques to strengthen your credit:

not a mistake, he used your ss number.

request copies of the credit applications on each account in question, verify it is not your signature too.....

good luck, it will take years to fix. credit reporting agencies ignore letters from citizens like us, we don't pay their bills.
