Would you be angry if....?

Question

Would you be angry if your boyfriend of 6 yrs left for business and told you he would be back on a certain date and he didnt come or called? Would you break up with him?

here are some more details: Yes I am worried, but at the same time i KNOW hes ok. I dont care if he has to be gone for a month if thats the time it takes to finish what hes doing. I just want a phone call to let me know about his plans. and he makes it seem like hes in a remote place in the andes mountains where he doesnt have 24 hr access to the internet to email me. thats what upsets me!

i would certainly feel the same way...however, before deciding to cut the tie you have to get an explanation from him and then weigh the reasons before deciding to end up everything....sometimes i just cant figure out why men could be so insensitive to the loved ones they left behind when they are away for an extended period of time

Be angry, be very angry....! From what I understand, he was on a business trip. I don't care where you are in the world or who you are having a meeting with... Anyone would understand that you need to step out of a meeting for a minute to make a quick call to let your girlfriend know that you're noting coming home as planned. It only takes 2 minutes! It is very inconsiderate of him. You definetly need to talk to him about it and let him know how this made you feel. Breaking up over it....? I don't know. Talk to him and see where this leads.

Yes!! Omg business trip is like a lame cheating excuse! he could be cheating on you! break up! He's not calling...which kinda leads into something like hes busy having ***!! Try calling him. Investigate where he REALLY is. Call his boss ask if their doing any business trip, and when they should get back. Talk to other housewives who's husbands are on the trip!

I would be worried about him!! that would be strange if my boyfriend didn't come home, and even stranger not to call, i would be worried sick and i wouldn't be thinking about dumping him!

Are you looking for a reason to dump him? Do you not trust him? Sounds to me like you're unhappy and want out. 6 yrs is a long time with someone to dump them for not calling. Respect is important in a relationship, and he should give you that, but you're being a wee bit out of line. Do you 2 talk about marriage? Do you want to marry him?

Hmmm how long has it been since you last talked to him? If he hasn't called just a couple of days after the date he said he would be back, then maybe it was something urgent. It could be many things. Did you try calling him to see what happened, or are you just jumping to conclusions? You shouldn't do that. Just talk to him.

Hmmm....first I'd make sure he was alive. Then I'd make a decision about breaking up with him. If he's alive and just made a sudden decision to completely change his life, then it's probably a bit late to break up with him, he's already gone.

It's kind of like the "you're fired" "no, I quit" argument.

After six years, I would say you need to let him offer an explanation. Otherwise, if it's been a while since he was supposed to be back, or your know he's back and hasn't yet contacted you, it sounds like he's already done the breaking up.

i wouldnt go as far as breaking up but i would be all types of pissed and concerned but think about it if your that ready to break up with him over this after 6 years then mabey you really just dont belong together in the first place.

I'd go insane. Breaking up would be a possibility...he'd have to be pretty f'ing injured or have some real good excuse to dodge that bullet.

I would be extremely unpset and he had better be in the hospital somewhere w/ an concussion. Yes, I would be ready to call it quits unless like I said concussion.
