When God's horrible side is defended as people making their choices, is this like defending the abusive parent

When anyone brings up the contradictions of a loving god and the existence of hell, we get a load of contradictory ******** about how people make their choice and how god is loving, blah blah blah. Is this similar to how abused kids defend their abusive parent?

Just how much garbage is God supposed to tolerate? You believe yourself to be more compassionate than God? Maybe you should purchase a home, supply it with everything, rent it out, watch it get destroyed by your ungrateful tenants and oh, wait, you're more compassionate, so let them stay until they burn the house to the ground. When they come to your door at 2am and say, "your house we were renting burned down, we want to stay with you," you'll just compassionately let them stay with you. After all of you are living under the freeway overpass, you might want to rethink your arguments against God's choices.

God's chastisement, in response to our deliberate sin, is a valid response and correctional action, just as a time-out, or mild spanking is appropriate for disciplining children.
