You can do cardio (running, walking, elliptical, bike) almost every day. Just give yourself a day off each week for your body to recoup. As for weightlifting, limit it to a maximum of 4 days a week. This will give your body time to recover and build new muscle.

Generally you do not want to go everyday or else you will over-work your muscles. I would recommend atleast 3 days between workouts to give your muscles time to rest and build up stronger.
