Do you think that animals ever think about philosophy / religion / why are we here etc...?

You don't need to be intelligent or speak a language to think about these things - it is spiritual?

All of creation groans, awaiting God to reverse the process of corruption which began with the rebellion of Adam:

"For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

It's not about intelligence at all!! It's that they are too busy trying to survive and don't have spare time to think about stupidities such as metaphysics. They're too busy running away from the lions and sharks, and humans, to even care to do that stuff, and the animals in the zoo are just insane because of their isolation and boredom. If animals didn't have predators, give them a million years and they'll start thinking about where they came from and then edn up destroying each other because their beliefs are slightly different.
p.s. Most animals do have a language, they communicate with each other either by signs or by noises.

Whilst I think animals are capable of a great deal more thought and creativity than we give them credit for I am absolutely certain that my cat never wastes any time thinking about philosophy, religion or any other human concerns.

You see, that's one of the things that make humans different from other mammals. Only humans have the higher brain functions it takes to think about philosophy/religion. It is not spiritual to THINK about something...it's rational.

Since thinking about such things as philosophy and religion is done by the use of language, and animals do not possess language, as we humans use it, animals do not "think" as we do.

my welsh corgi is obviously a deep serious thinker. Granted, she thinks about why she's here in terms of "where is the pack going next? I hope it's for a walk!"

Animals have beliefs, but because they do not have a language they do not "think." It requires a language to be able to have a concept of "the day before yesterday."

no they don't, their minds are not developed in that way, they do not have a memory capable of remembering, and have no concept of a past or future, they only live in the present. if they did they wouldn't be animals

Only Sheep, and they do it for research. When they've gathered the info. they bleet it back to their own planet!!!

Don't believe me? try to find out where sheep originally roamed wild???? they seem to always have belonged to someone............where did they come from???

Only if they have been told about jesus will they get into animal heaven
