Hi:

What you are describing sounds as if you have OCD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. It is a difficult disorder to live with but society takes it so very lightly, except for those who understand it or those of us that have real OCD.

I have some webs sites that I think may be helpful to you. They are great sites. I hope they help.

You should also call your doctor and discuss this with him/her and they will discuss trreatment plans with you and possibly medications. But the doctor is the only one who can decide that.

If you need someone to talk to, check my profile and my contact information is right there for you.

It does sound like obsessive compulsive disorder. Not because you feel like cleaning 24/7, but because you feel anxious when you don't, and due to not liking people visiting your home because you're afraid they'll make it untidy. I had OCD for a long time. It wasn't until I went to regular meetings with a psychologist, that they got better, but they never completely went away. Now I just have mild symptoms every now and then. I had the same problem as you, except mine was that I always had to have my hands clean. I couldn't even touch a door handle without washing my hands again. I even became concerned that touching the faucet handles would give me germs. I also had another problem for a while, where I had to take all of my steps back the way I came, as if I were attached to a string. If I walked around a table three times, I would have to walk around it the other way three times before I could go anywhere.

it sounds OCD to me. normally i would say its just a little quirk about you but the last line made me worry about you. you don't even want to invite people over because you're afraid they'll make a mess?!?! that's overboard and makes me believe that this is part of some kind of obsessive compulsion disorder that you have devoloped. not a bad thing. it can be worked through with help from a therapist! but it also can get more dangerous to your mental health if you just let it go.

It sounds like you might have ocd. If you already see a psychiatrist or another mental health professional, you should talk to them about it.

try to transfer your own attention .
think of this ,for example ,they made your house untidy but meanwhile you confirmed your friendship ,
or you got other benefits ...
