I'll agree that redfish magic are nice, but a simple gulp! shrimp rigged weedless on a jig works well, too. I've seen them caught on spoons, crabs, etc. Best place to learn best lures for your local reds would be at one of your local bait stores, preferrably one with a bunch of pics of reds that customers have caught on the walls.

Personally I like a spinner bait just like for bass fishing. I use a single gold Colorado blade # 6 - 8 will do. I also like darker colors, blue , purples and blacks. Use a power mullet in black and chartruse or a small piece of shrimp as a trailer.

strike king redfish magic is the best spinnerbait used for redfish. electric chicken is a good color to use.

That gimmenamenow really knows her stuff. FYI... a Peacock Bass is not a "bass" at all. It is a member of the cichlid family and lives in fresh to brackish water. Red Drum when pronounced backwards is "murder"...just thought you should know that being in Florida and all.

mirror lure in gold,gold/brn,berkley shrinp,crab,gold spoons,small live crab,jerk baits in rootbeer,motor oil, gold,gold splash,pearl and many more!
But I throw gold spoons and crab and shrimp baits mostly!
