I say on your lower/middle back or upper leg, that way you can still wear business/business casual/casual clothing and nobody will ever see it (unless you wear clothes that you want during your off hours that will allow people to catch a glimpse!)

Anyplace clothes normally cover: most of your back, your stomache, your legs (or at least your thighs), or your upper arms.

All of those areas have plenty of room, and are very unlikely to be revealed at a job.

If you don't like any of those options, you could also use Dermablend. I know a woman with facial tattoos who uses Dermablend at her work, and it does an extremely good job covering the tattoos. You can't even tell.

So really, you can get tattooed anywhere you want. It's just a question of how much effort you're willing to put into hiding it.

Any spot that people can't see when you are working.

If you working at a casual place then probably on your foot/back/stomach.

If you working at a professional place then upper thigh/back/near your groin.

Generally no matter where you work you would want a tattoo that is not seen and can be hidden or shown easily when you want it. A piercing as well. If you are getting something pierced make sure it is either:
A.) Able to be taken out;
B.) Healed;
C.) Not noticeable when you take it out. i.e. holes/scars.

I would say on your upper back, next to your shoulder, your lower back, or on your upper thigh, or on your stomach. If you wear business type suites the tattoo won't show because its not like you will wear some short skirts or belly showing shirts to work. So I would think that those are the best places to have a tattoo at work.

Hi. My suggestions are back, breast, or back side. You can also do upper thigh tattoos if you don't plan to wear short skirts or shorts to work. Your back is the most likely place to get a piece of significant size. I have tattoos on my back, outside of my thighs, calves, ankles, and breast. They've never caused me any trouble in the workplace, but if they have a policy about tattoos, I do have to wear slacks. Good luck with your new tattoo!

Anwhere hidden by clothes. My shoulder tattoo doesn't interfere with my job because even in my work shirt, which is a short sleeved polo, it is hidden. If you go shoulder you may not be able to wear tank tops to work in the future, be prepared for that.

You could go with the old tramp stamp on the lower back, or back of the shoulder is usually covered, or upper breast is usually covered. You could go with the side of the shoulder/biceps area , but you need short sleeves to cover that. There's always around the bikini line area, and that oughta be covered at work!

Hip or butt. Orson Beane was on the Johnny Carson show years ago (okay THAT dates me) and said that when his wife was young, she got a rosebud tattoo on her breast...and now it's a long stem rose! ...so I'll refrain from advising that location! Also, many actors cover their tattoos for movie roles with makeup, so if you do get one on an ankle or somewhere that's discrete but possibly noticeable, you could always cover it with makeup for work.

the obvious answer would be somewhere that is always covered by clothes...unless you are plannin on becoming a stripper, in which case you wouldn't be. i can't think of any job that i have ever had where my back stomach or thighs were exposed while at work so those are options.

You should get it someplace where you definitely will not be showing skin @ work.

For example:
- back
- stomach
- thigh

These are really the only places if you work in corporate America.

Oh also something small on your foot wouldn't be bad either..
