I tend to dream every single night, that is to say I remember them. However my dreams are always of a violent nature. I am always attacking someone, always strangers. I can feel the anger pulsating through me so intensely during my dreams. For example I had a dream similar to the film 28 Days Later and it was actually scary how violently I was killing 'the infected'. If I’m not hacking someone to death I’m usually having a fierce argument threatening and cursing them.

I’m not a violent person, I’ve never been involved in a fight and I always avoid confrontations, I always bottle up my emotions. Why do I dream like this then?

Serious answers please.

The exact same thing has been happening to me for about a year now. It's probably the emotions that you don't like to express in the real world. I have had almost the exact same dream with the zombies (as I prefer to call them) and all, and I also felt scared about how violent I can be. I mean, I've killed things in ways I never thought possible lol. I talked to a bunch of people, friends of mine and my parents and other people I know and they told me that it's completely normal to have seriously strange dreams. You'll get over them eventually, just try not to worry too much about it. Besides, you can't control what you dream about, unless you can "lucidly dream" or whatever it's called.

You say you bottle up your feelings, maybe you should let them out. By that I do not mean put your dreams into action but you should discuss them more with people you know. Your dreams reflect your dissatisfaction with certain aspects of your life. It could be that you feel helpless when you hear of people being injured or murdered by the idiots that are around today and can do nothing about it. It could also be something to do with politicians who make promises they never keep. Maybe that angers you because you feel let down and demoralised.

Good to see the last sentence 'Serious answers please'.

To be more specific - you could have given your age.

After going through your words, it is understood as the issue deeply concerned with one of the following

(i) Your past birth sub conscious records

(ii) Your family background

(iii) The type of food and type of movies and type of friends you have

Let me explain one by one

(i) It is now spiritually and scientifically proved that re-birth exists and the effect of past births has a profound impact on the current birth

(ii) Family background influences through DNA structures and through psychological tendencies

(iii) Certain foods and drinks arose emotional feelings and arose weaknesses ... while the movies and friends we like have a unknown impact

Whatever be the case . . . don't worry . . . let me explain some thing interesting for you

* The more you involve in diversified positive works and thinking the more you will be relased
* your repeated dreams should certainly created an impression every night before sleep .... that you are going to again get such dreams ... right ? ... it means you have formed an additional image about your own self which triggers those violent feeling.
So you need to proceed and apply solution in the same process . . . it means ... you need to give good cool positive suggestion to your own mind which creates a positive image of your own self.... the best time for you is * before sleep .

Spend some time before sleep in a silent, good (preferably a spiritual place) in your home and start giving good thoughts to your brain and say to your self something like "I am a peaceful person, I am cool and friendly person, I have the power of forgiveness ... etc'
OR you can also read a good spiritual or moral book before sleeping ...
* Take a bath if possible before sleep and start this exercise
* Eat and drink good items only which helps in positive development ... try to avoid spicy, alcoholic, stimulating items
* Avoid those unnecessary movies and friends and have only good company ... it will strongly help you in long term in life

Wow, that is the weirdest thing.

Mine are the exact opposite.

I always (always) have violent dreams, but I am always the one the violence is directed at, and often wake-up in a sweat having been killed in my dream or very close to death.

I'm 37 and it has been this way since my teens, so I simply deal with it.

The dreams do not just have one story, they range from car accidents to murderous neighbours.

I have seen doc's about this, but to no avail.

Try not to let it impact on your real life, your awake life.

Good luck.

The most important thing is communication and if you feel you cannot communicate honestly ebcasue of offending someone.. then you woul hide your feeling s and these manifest in your dreams...so although you feel you are not angry because you hide people may perceive your anger from your actual response which depends on how you are thinking and feeling and if you have kept those hidden you must realise that will show...

Since you tend to bottle up your emotions, my guess would be that you are releasing them in your dreams. That would be a way of venting and releasing your anger or frustrations without taking it out on others when you are awake.
My advice would be to try to find a way to communicate your frustrations or anger to others in a calm and peaceful way... like...I feel angry or frustrated when you do that, Is there some way we can work this out so that we are both happy?...

what this dream says to me is that your are violent because you feel threatened. It is a common behavioural instinct amongst bullies or insecure people - however I am not implying you are like this. Being violent means you need to confront something that worries you or makes you feel uncomfortable.

violence-- to dream that any person does you violence denotes that you will be overcome by enemies. If you do some other persons violence, you will lose fortune and favour by your reprehensible way of conducting your affairs.
Anger-To dream of anger, denotes that some awful trial awaits you. Disappointments in loved ones, and broken ties, or enemies may make new attacks upon your property or chacter. To dream that friends or relatiives are angry with you while you meet their anger with composure, denotes you will mediate between opposing friends, and gain lasting favour and gratitude.

You have violent dreams because somewhere in your life you are entertaining something on tv or video games which have violence. It can be movies, wrestling, video games etc.,. I used to have dreams about fighting with martials arts, but then God showed me it was because I played martial arts video games and movies. Okay, take care.

I would suggest anger management classes and maybe a visit to your GP.

has anything of a violent nature ever happened to you? If so then somehow it could be manifesting in your dreams.
