I would probably expect to pay around $100 or so, but your best bet is to contact your tattoo parlor, or several in your area if you have them, and ask them. If you know what you want, or even better, if you have a drawing of what you want, take it in with you. They should be able to give you an estimate of what they'll charge, but I would count on spending a least $100 or so on it.

When getting a tattoo, don't be a bargain hunter. Go to a shop that has a great reputation. You should be looking at anywhere from $75 - $150 depending on the font and time needed.

Remember to TIP your artist well - my rule of thumb is no less than 20%. Your tattoo artist is performing a service for you that deserves a great tip. I usually tip 30% if the work requires alot of time drawing it out and lots of colors.

You need to take your eight words to a tattoo shop pick out a font and ask the artist . Tattoo prices vary from shop to shop and town to town. Remember youll get what you pay for!!

depends on the shop, the artist, how much detail, color or just black ink, etc. if you have a place in mind, tell them what you want, and ask for a price quote. i've paid all sorts for small and bigger tattoos. some of the more expensive ones cost more because i got them done by pros and or well known artists.

Depends.

Tattooists generally charge by the hour - usually no less than 60$, unless you know and are in "tight" with them.

In this case they often charge by the letter, depending on font style / size / etc.

The best way to determine cost is to actually ask the artist you plan to go to. Usually they will not charge higher than their "estimate".

That completely depends on where you live. Put with tattoos you get what you pay for. A good tattoo is never cheap and a cheap tattoo is never good. Check out places in your city ask people with really nice tats. Pay the extra money its gonna be on you forever

i'm not sure what you mean by "quite small" but you can only go so small before it wouldn't look good. prices are decided by the artist so there's no way to tell you how much it would cost.

Don't do it. I have a tattoo and they are so corny. Everyone has one now, so they aren't special. Take the $100 - 300 and invest it in a mutual fund. 30 years from now, what would you rather have: over 1,000 bucks or some stretched out tattoo that you are embarrassed of.
