Depends on the situation. Normally a few deep breaths will do the trick, but I also shift my thinking to my mascara running all over my face and the mess THAT will make.

I don't like to cry in public, but it is the norm in certain circumstances (funerals come to mind) so don't worry too much if your emotions spill in the form of tears. You're not alone.

Well, I will not have such case - however the suggestion can be to splash some water on face and clean with a cloth (actually its covering the tears and wiping them)

If you feel to outburst or cry loudly - just remember that the only solution will be shift the thinking process - just put some work to the brain like 'counting something', 'see some thing observative' 'thing about some close person or good issue' etc. so that you can have shift of thoughts which helps you to stop the impulse of crying loudly

Grab a water, soda, or something and drink. It's gives you a chance to get yourself in check. I've also heard that something in the swallowing mechanism won't allow you to cry when swallowing. I can't say if that's fact or fiction, but it does seem to work.

I don't.

I don't make a spectacle of myself but tears are normal and I let them flow.

**note....it's different in a business environment....there I leave the tears at home.
