I had this weird dream, but it all seemed to make sense. I'm not a very religoius person, so I was surprised to have something like this happen.
I was dead, and I was at what seemed to be the gates of Heaven. There where many people in a line, waiting to be "judged." They way that God judged where you would end up was this: He would wet a peice of paper with water and than He would hold it over a torch. what ever amount of the water than turned to blood represented how much you have sinned in your life.
It was my turn. A lot of the water turned to blood. I was worried. Then He said that I would go and have ten more days of Life to make it right.
This dream is really bothering me. Can someone help?

My horoscope also said I would have a big message in my dreams the night I had it.

It is a good dream. You have realized that there is still time to turn your life around. You have, in a sense, judged yourself, and now you must forgive yourself and move forward in a better direction. Some people wait too long to change, and then they feel at the end that they have wasted their life. Yours will not be wasted because you have realized in time what you need to do.

Kira, I would take this dream seriously. This is a dream from the Lord. Why ten days? I don't know. But I do know there are some things which are coming soon to the United States where there will be terrible disasters. Worse than Virginia Tech. Also, last year the Lord told me He was going to "visit". When God "visits" a place He brings His "judgement" with Him. And whatever you are doing at the time He judges will determine whether you live or die. You mentioned a piece of paper that the Lord would wet. The piece of paper represents your account and deeds before the Lord. The water that He dipped into represents the Word of God which washes and cleasnes us. The torch represents being tested by fire. When your life is put up to being tested by fire it did not pass, because the only way you can pass the fire test is to be purified by salvation through Jesus Christ. I would take this serious. Okay, take care and God bless you. I will be praying for you.

Rest assurred, the dream you had is not as wierd as you think; I had a similar dream myself a few years ago. I don't mean to worry you, but I've had the same dream several times since then. It used to really bother me too, until I understood its purpose.

You stated that you are not a very religious person. Although I was raised in a strictly religious (Pentecostal) home, I also am not a very religious person. There are two possibilities for why the dream we had took the form of a "Religious Judgement Day". Either 1) We are both more "religious" than we think, and "God" is trying to tell us something. OR
2) Based on the fact that you stated you're not a religious person, I will make an educated guess that you at least have some religious knowledge. Having said this, it is possible, at least at a sub-conscious level, that you might be discontented
with the way you have been living your life.

If you believe that reason (1) has anything to do with why you dream you had the "Religious Judgement Day" dream, my suggestion to you is this; Start reading the Bible, and speak to a church pastor.

However, if you are more inclined to believe that reason (2) might be the more likely cause for your dream, now might be a very good time to evaluate the status of your life.

As for me personally, although I am not a religious person, I do believe in God, and I do my best to live my life based on the teachings in the Word of God (Bible). The way I see it, there is a difference between being "religious" and believing in God. Religious people are simply putting a label on their beliefs, often times not living their lives based on their convictions. People who truely believe in God live their lives based on their convictions and the gut instinct that God gives us. Once I realized that, I was no longer bothered by the dream. Furthermore, once I made changes in the way I live my life, I stopped having the dream.

In closing, I will say this; I believe that reason (1) and reason (2) both play a role in creating a dream such as the one you described.

I hope this helps you the way it has helped me. My best regards to you.

Maybe you are realizing that there is need for improvement in your life and that you need to live a better life. Or perhaps someone has been judging you a lot lately...Just remember that God is the only one that can truly judge you. Anyone else is committing a sin by judging you.
I know a dream like this can be very disconcerting.

Sounds like you may have some turmoil going on in your life...either now or in the past that has not been dealt with.

Um yes last night I had the strangest dreams about people that I go to school with. I though it was odd because I graduated school this year. And the other night I had a dream that all the guests that showed up to my grad. party had those faces like the kids do in the Pink Floyd video for Another Brick in the Wall

Your dream indicates a need for redemption. It is possible that you feel that you could have made better decisions throughout your existence. It is not like "My Name is Earl". It is possible to right the consequences of a poor decision, but you can never erase the decision.

Life is journey of decisions and consequences. You learn by analyzing these consequences for future, similar consequences. You can either continue to make similar decisions, or alter your decision making process based on the experiences that you have encountered.

It is an interesting dream, and something for self-analysis, but I wouldn't really dwell on it too much.

Well I think you are judging yourself lately and your not so happy w/ the things you've done. You're worried about going to heaven & being judged for mistakes you made. We all make mistakes (it's part of life) but I think you're judging yourself too harshly. Besides I've had dreams myself like dream (bad dreams) about bugs? Why ? Who knows. I hate bugs but they are coming to get me. Stupid I know that's why I let it goand just remember it's all a DREAM nothing more!

maybe your dreams are telling you something. Listen to it. If you do think that you need to to do better things, then go for it.
