I had that problem with my son. What we ended up doing was starting a bed time routine. about 1 hour before bed we would give him a warm bath with lavender soap, then turn the lights down so that it was darker , then wrapped him up all nice and snug in a blanket fed him his bottle and while we were feeding him his bottle we would rock him. He would get very drowsy and just when it looked like he couldn't keep his eyes open we slowly took him to his crib and put him down. The first couple of days were the most difficult but after probably 3 or 4 days he was sleeping soundly in his crib. the key is to make sure you keep a routine. ~~ Best of Luck

If you still have problems read the book "Good Night Sleep Tight" written by Kim West and Joanne Kenen. It helped a LOT with my children!!

Yeah, break that habit NOW!!!!!!!!!!! Go to Toys R Us (or call) and ask if they have a vibrating mechanism that you can attach to her crib (I know they make bassinets with them). That, or put a fan/humidifier in her room on low. The humming of either one may help her sleep.

Don't put her in a swing. Put her in bed and let her go to sleep. She will eventually fall asleep if you let her. Don't go pick her up if she cries, she will eventually quit and go to sleep. Develop a schedule for naps and bedtime and stick to it.

My son did the same thing. I didn't find it a problem, he was so fussy whatever it took to get him to quiet down was fine with me. He grew out of it on his own though, just stopped liking the swing one day.

Can you get her into the crib without waking her? If she can wake up in the crib, you'll be on your way to switching her over!
