Nobody ever has the right to hit someone for anything. It is all about communication. Physical abuse is NOT okay, and as far as I know, is considered abuse. Yelling is one thing, but if she is hitting you, I would talk to someone you trust about it that can help you. If you are comfortable talking to her about it, then you could tell her that you deserve respect and that you feel she is not treating you this way.

I don't understand why she would punish you for just playing chess on the computer....unless she had asked you to do something and you disobeyed. Not quite sure what she is blaming on you.

if you werent there and didnt do anything then yes your right to feel mad ....
you should sit down with your grandmum and explain to her you didnt do anything and tell her you feel really hurt and upset that she hit you .....what were you supposed to of done anyways
