How many of you agree with the Kirk Cameron/Ray Comfort argument that the banana is perfectly made for man by God?

harryd, how is that an answer to my question? Insults and scare tactics don't work with the informed. Please go back to your church and let your pastor tell you what to say to counter me.

I don't know, but those damn phallic shaped fruits really taste good with hot fudge, vanilla ice cream, nut sprinkles, and whipped cream.

Totally, IF ANYBODY CAN NAME ONE AND ONLY ONE, THING WERE GOD HAD NO INTERVENTION, ( Someone, said to me, the Empire State, but, God provided the Matter and the place, and beyond, The Lord provided the laws that govern this planet, Think for one second, we are travelling in this infinite space, at fabulous speed, the periferic speed, of the earth, is aprox, 30 Km/s, the time that take to say " ONE " your chair move 30 Km, and you are very far from the place you were when begun reading this, the translation speed ( moving around the Sun ), is 149,600,000 Km, are the things loose, in your house falling down without a reason ?, never, and that is the law that God provide for our proteccion, and to permit the Empire stays erect, understended or not, and someone is in doubt, if our God was able to make a Banana ????? (It would have helped if you had presented what the argument was for those of us who had not heard it.)

As I understand it, they meant to give an argument from design and did a poor job of it. The sad part of the whole episode is that probably could have presented it better if they had first read Michael J. Behe's critique of the "Watchmaker Argument":

"Despite many of his misguided examples, Paley's famous first paragraph concerning the watch is exactly correct- no one would deny that if you found a watch you would immediately, and with certainty, conclude that it had been designed.... But... why did he go downhill so quickly? Because he got carried away and started to look at the wrong features of the watch." It isn't that the argument from design is bad, but rather that Cameron and Comfort gave bad examples of it.

I realize atheists are obsessed with some tv actor named kirk cameron but you really are boring everybody else to death with this endless junk. Can't you people find an atheist web-site so you can go on about this stuff as much as you like? I really recommend.it. Also, talk to a friend about your strange preoccupation with fundies. And since you are evidently ignorant of the matter,I will take the liberty of pointing that of the world's two billion Christians,90% are Catholic. All you atheists keep using fundamentalist and Christian as synonymous. Perhaps you could bestir yourself to look up Christianity on the wiki. Shouldn't be to much trouble and hey,you wouldn't have to do anything painful, like read a book.

If you look at monkeys, They can not use their thumb. Their fore they need bananas to eat because of this. This makes as much sense as they do. They need to print these findings so every one can have a good laugh at them.
I don't think they understand science at all. I'm no Brain here, but if you look at the science that has been done, people like these don't have any factual evidence to stand on.
The question is; "Why don't they publish what they claim to have found?" If it is science it will stand on it 's own.

When they say it, and you are open minded, it has a touch of "Hmmm" to it, but I would never reference it, nor do I find it an argument for the evidence of God.

I know many will laugh that I was even open minded about it at all, but I try to look at things the way the person who is saying it does, before making my own decision about it.

If it was perfect it wouldn't give me gas now would it?

Edit: I just re-watched the video on youtube and must admit the banana is darn near perfect for another non-food purpose.
