Well first teach them to read. Then teach them some math and science. The rest should take care of itself.
PS- Love the group name.

As an atheist I would hope that you wouldn't discuss deep spiritual and ideological ideas with him. A child's mind is not as strong as an adults. You don't want to scare him but at the same time you don't want to lie to him or fill his head with nonsense. I assume you love him, want him to be well adjusted, and think for himself. He is only four years old. If he asks you if God or the devil exists I would tell him some people believe in them and some people don't. If he asks what you believe tell him it is a personal subject and you don't feel comfortable telling him what you think. Don't let him know you are an atheist yet because at such an early age he naturally will want to be just like his daddy. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be like your daddy but religion and philosophy are very deep abstract concepts. A child's mind is very imaginative and can scare or confuse the child. I know you don't want that for your son. I assume because you are atheist you are probably fairly intellectual. Think about what's best for your son and at what times during his life he needs to know certain things about you. I wish you and your son the best. Signed,
Agnostic

A lot of times kids rebell against their parents beliefs, or in your case lack thereof. Keep on being pushy and perhaps you will get a Christian on your hands. Despite your desire, God can save your kid.

You should bend your knees until they touch the ground and pray to GOD about it.
I'm sure he has an answer for you.
