Depending on your reason and the frequency of your staying up all night, it may be very hard, or it may seem normal. For example, if you are used to sleeping at night, and being awake during the day, you will become very fatigued after you are up for several hours past your normal bed time. Activity and excitement can change that.

If you are used to being up all night (work 3rd shift) your body adapts to this, and it becomes normal for you.

It depends on the reasons for staying up all night.

If you are having fun, partying, then staying up all night will not be a torture at all.

However, I will not say the same for staying up all night to study for exams.

And if it is due to health problem like insomnia, seek professional help.
