You have much to learn about repentance and God's personality.
Have you ever read about Manasseh?
Have your not read about all the wickedness that he perpetrated while King in Israel?
True repentance is a rare thing in the world in which we live.
Some think they can go to a church, talk to a priest, say a few "hail Mary's" and they think a man can grant forgiveness and that they are absolved of whatever they have done!
If someone truly repents God will know and take the action that He warrants.
(Ezekiel 33:11) Say to them, ‘“As I am alive,” is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, “I take delight, not in the death of the wicked one, but in that someone wicked turns back from his way and actually keeps living. Turn back, turn back from YOUR bad ways, for why is it that YOU should die, O house of Israel?”’
(1 Peter 4:3) For the time that has passed by is sufficient for YOU to have worked out the will of the nations when YOU proceeded in deeds of loose conduct, lusts, excesses with wine, revelries, drinking matches, and illegal idolatries.
(Ephesians 4:22) that YOU should put away the old personality which conforms to YOUR former course of conduct and which is being corrupted according to his deceptive desires
19 “Repent, therefore, and turn around so as to get YOUR sins blotted out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the person of Jehovah -Acts 3:19

Only Jehovah and Jesus can do that. It is because they judge a person's heart, how he really believes and thinks. All we can see is the show.

no, i think it's a great thing to know that even the worst of us can be redeemed-saul of tarsus is a good example...he persecuted and even killed Christians, but in becoming a Christian, he became, as paul, a powerful voice for Christ, showing himself as an example of Christ's redemptive power, and bringing a large number of people to Christ...

According to Christianity, God doesn't care about your crimes, just your loyalty, obedience, and faith. As long as a person declares Jesus as their savior, begs forgiveness, and otherwise massages their god's ego, it doesn't matter what crimes they've comitted. They're in.
Some "justice".
