The Handbook of Denominations... is a good book. We bought it when we were looking for a church and were lost in why there are so many differences. Everyone sees the Bible through the "glasses" of their own denominational teaching. It 's easier to see where all denominational splits came from if you look at history and trace it all the way back to the original Church established by Christ Himself.

Go to The Book Of Denominations, which outlines the basic beliefs of all Christian denominations and some of the cults. I can't remember who the author was.

For The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints the website is
www.lds.org or www.mormon.org
The second website is great for some one wanting to learn more about the Church and it's teachings
www.lightplanet.com has some info on a few denominations along with other religions as well.
Good luck on your search

A more important question would be, what does the Bible teach God believes? Then go find the one religion that lives that.
