Ive just found out im pregnant on friday the first person i told was my bf he was over the moon, he said he'd come and see me after work, but didnt end up coming coz he said he was too tired(we dont live together). he rang me like every half hour though! then we went out today and i was on the understanding we'd spend the whole day together and we only spent 3 hours. i only see him once a week twice if im lucky. he said he was tired because he worked till late last night and hes doing it for the baby. i know we need money but i also need his company and soon enough im not gonna be able to get around to much! when we were out he was hugging, kissing, stroking me. i love that he cares and needs to make money. but he works all week aswell, even when he was at work he rang me every hour! i need his company more than 3 hours a week!

Having a baby is a loud realization for him, I'm sure. If he's a responsible dad he's going to want to work more to provide more for his baby. Your whole life is changing now and there's no turning back.

And regarding your comment that you won't be able to get around too much....you'll get around just fine. You're pregnant, you don't have a disease.

Good luck to you!

Vicky, I think you should sit and talk seriously about this matter. A baby is not a "fact", it is a new life, needing material comfort as well as love and attention.
I think that he may be frightened with such a huge responsibility, which shows that he is not inconsequent.
I do not know how old you both are, but I really think that judging by what you said, he is more prepared to be a parent than you are. He is working more to make money, he is sacrificing his own resting hours...And you, the mother and creator of the situation, complains about not getting more attention from him.Being a mother will demand a mature behavior from you!
Friday?? You told him on Friday and already talks like a wife with years of marriage? think that you are receiving support and tenderness from him! What did you exspect?
Other men could just walk away and leave you alone!
Think about that!

Hey....I think this guy is already doing his best. He rings you every hour even when he's at work! How many guys can do that???

Instead of waiting for him to meet you, why don't you drop by his office to meet him for lunch or dinner? Just give him a surprise and you will be able to spend more time with him!

Have a nice talk to him as well. Ask him about his plans for the future, if he has plans to marry you etc??

It sounds like he is working his butt off to prepare for the new child. Don't make it harder by getting all pushy about the time he spends with you. Be glad that he's taking responsibility and doing what he has to do.

well obviously he is happy about the baby and he is trying to help out in his own way....let him do what he needs to do to help out but also tell him how you feel and you could maybe even go and see him sometimes (instead of him coming to see you)...just talk to him, i'm sure he's willing to listen
