Please help...my mother has invited a sex offender to our home?

My mother is self destructive. It doesnt matter what we tell her, she will never take the road that will help her. Im not quite sure why.

Now she's invited a known sex offender to be her friend again, I know this because he has attacked someone in my family in the past. My mother knows about this, and denies it all. All she remembers is how he "helped" her. He only helped her to get close to her, to get to her family!

I am moving out in a month, what do I do to keep sane until then. I have this fear that one day im going to come home and this monster will be sitting in the kitchen one day. I honestly am ready to cut her from my life as soon as I leave this house. Please help.

You are very perceptive. You have a difficult decision to make but one that is necessary to your safety. You can't save her. Follow through with your plans to move out. Until she hits rock bottom she won't see reason.

Not all parent are cut out for the job. Take it from me, some fail miserably. But once your out of the house it will become easier for you because you wont have to live her thumb, I tried to cut my mother out of my life, but she keeps calling when she need something, and it ticks me off, but I am the kind of person that cannot turn her back on family even if I say I'm going to. Your mother needs professional help but she needs to seek it out on her own. Talk to a counselor to ask about any ways you can help her but it is good that your moving out. You really should talk to a professional about this though, especially if you fear for her safety. If you feel at all threatened by this person stay in public places and get to the police or some other help as soon as possible.

I think you should move out but don't leave your mom! I'd suggest going to talk to someone your mother See's as a role model or whom she listens too! If you feel unsafe try not to be there when hes there, and always call 911 if you don't feel safe no matter what! And if you still don't feel comfortable talk to the detective a nearby present and tell them your concern!
And if police don't help you do your own little research or dective work like you can talk to the person that accused him of bothering her or he and see whats going on!

All you have to do is call the police and let them know that he is in your house.

Your mom is mentally ill if she allows this to happen. I don't blame you for wanting to cut off all contact. If this piece of crap shows up in her house while there are children nearby, I'd post his pictures around the neighborhood so that everyone in the area knows who and what he is.
